How do I open this drain funnel?

What about it?

Does anybody know how I can open this? My water softener isn't draining properly and I was asked to send a picture of this drain after removing this cone. Seems like I would have to remove this retainer clip but it just hits the frame

Help for a complete plumbing noob!

What about it?

Hi there guys, our toilet has been leaking and, from googling, I think it could be a worn out ‘spud gasket’? Would you guys agree from the picture? I just want to make sure I’ve got the right terminology so I can describe the issue best when I call the plumber! (And to prepare myself for the cost of the repairs!). Thanks so much in advance 😊

Is there enough “meat” here to make connections for sink lines?

What about it?

Cabinets installed, This was the most height that was allowable with the existing pipes . Is there enough space for a plumber to make connections either copper or pex? Off the bottom to the top of the shark bite is 1 ½”.. There’s maybe an extra ½” of vertical movement but that’s pushing it… Thoughts?

Rumbling when hot water on

What about it?

So quite recently there is a loud rumbling when I turn my hot water on. I've read it could be due to high water pressure, but its only just started doing it out of nowhere. I've checked my mains and can't see what I know to be a pressure regulator valve. This (photo) is under my kitchen sink, is the pressure valve? If not can anyone help me understand how to lower my water pressure please?

NewB questions

What about it?

Haven’t been in this sub for long so have some questions. Sorry if these have already been answered a zillion times. Pulled this from our master bath shower this morning after some recent slow draining. 1. Is there an established naming convention for these wet bunnies? Like hurricanes are named in alphabetical order, so I was thinking Allison (the girl who dumped me in fifth grade) or Amanda (my favorite rock ballad). 2. What is the theoretical nutritional content of this mass, and do I just stick it in the microwave for a minute or does a crockpot draw out more flavor? 3. Is there an objective gag reflex scale for humans? Perhaps something equivalent to the Scoville scale? If it doesn’t already exist would it make more sense to use a linear scale or go straight to exponential? 4. Is it considered prudent that I tell my wife that I used her toothbrush for the final cleanup under the drain grate? TIA
