How to stop puppy from barking?

What about it?

My puppy has been barking at me and I think it’s for attention or because she wants to bite me and jump on my face, which I don’t let her do, and when I’m about to feed her as well, I wait until she’s quiet to give her food, I tried training her when she’s barking, rewarding her when she stops for a few seconds and saying “yes, good quiet” but I don’t think it’s working, is there anything else I can do to stop this demand barking?

Hot spots/ allergies

Hi all! I recently rescued a golden from Iowa, he moved to MO with me, and his allergies have been bad. His past owners said he had allergies, stay away from chicken foods. They eventually landed on the lamb meal & rice formula or Diamond naturals, which is a brand I’m not familiar with. My other golden is on Purina pro plan, so I tried switching him to the sensitive skin lamb & rice but no luck, we’re on our 3rd hot spot/ constant eye boogies this month. Any tips? Good food for allergies? PS: yes we’ve seen a vet about it, since they don’t have his full history they didn’t want to indefinitely say it’s allergies. They said they’d prefer him be on Purina. We are going back soon

Life can be hard

2 years without my girl.

What about it?

Her name was Gaiyana, she was the sweetest dog I've ever known and I'm feeling like shit right now because I miss her so bad after this time. I still remember the day, the pictures are still there in my memory. I remember when the vet told us it was unfortunately too late to do anything. It was like the bond was broken in a certain way, I just fell on the floor and started crying on her body. I wish we never had to experience any ounce of this painful sadness as pet owners. It feels unfair, especially when their lives are too short.

Tips on how to get him to go potty outside

What about it?

Sometimes I take my 10 week old boy outside when I know he has to go but does nothing. Then as soon as I bring him back up to the apt he gives it a go. I give him treats and celebrate every time he goes outside. Any tips?

First time with female, questions about post spaying

What about it?

As the title states, first time female dog owner, had 5 males previously. Wondering what to expect post spay surgery, suggestions, tips etc.... With the males we've had, by the end of the night, dame day as surgery, they all were fired up and ready to go. Dolly, my first girl, I'm wondering what to expect. She's getting a brand new bed today, I'm going to buy her a stuffed animal for being a good girl. Do their attitudes, personality, feistiness change? She turns 1 in a few weeks. Thanks for all input!

How to deal with constant knots behind the ears

What about it?

Our golden constantly has knots behind her ears. No matter how often we brush the hair or cut out the knots, we always find new ones. Any advice on preventing this from happening?
