Help Understanding Crossroads of Fate Mission Menu

What about it?

I just got to this part of the story which I think starts the 1.2 update story. Can someone tell me what’s going on here? As in do I need to complete all my missions I have open before doing these? What does it mean by disappearing as the story progresses?? I don’t want to do anything I’ll accidentally regret. So anyone that knows, please help explain.
