Accidentally spilt laundry detergent into empty washing machine
Putting this under general cleaning, but may apply to laundry? I was doing laundry and left my detergent (about 80% full Tide Free Gentle Liquid Laundry Detergent) on top. It fell off, broke, and emptied into the open and empty washing machine next to the one I was using. I’m nervous the next time it will be used will be Suds-ageddon. Is there anything I can do?
Not sure if this is important, but I wanted to give as much detail as possible: It’s the type of machine that you pour the soap directly into the wash basket, and this machine also already has issues draining due to the clogging of the sink it drains into.
I left a note in the meantime so that no one else in my building uses it.
Most frugal way to get this carpet looking cleaner?
Hi! I have beige carpeting on three stairs in my rental apartment. Since I moved in, they’ve always looked a little grungy. I’ve considered buying or renting a carpet cleaner but I don’t have space to store another appliance and I’d rather avoid the hassle of renting, if possible.
Any suggestions on the most frugal way to clean this area and get the stairs to look less gray? I am willing to purchase tools and products but currently at my disposal I have Oxyclean white revive powder, shout pet stain remover, baking soda, a floor steam cleaner, a carpet brush and a regular vacuum.
Any and all advice is appreciated! Thank you!
How to Properly Clean/Restore Gas Stovetop
I have been struggling with this stovetop for years. I think the material is porcelain? I am not positive and can’t find a definitive answer. It was in pretty bad shape before I moved in and have spent hours removing years of built up grease, etc. but I can never get rid of this haze/streaky look, despite thoroughly cleaning and removing all product afterward. I’m at a loss and embarrassed because no matter what I do it always looks dirty. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
