Controversial take..I kinda like the fact that Azula didn't get a Redemption arc..I feel like it makes her downfall/breakdown all the more better and hammers in how she's a foil/parallel to Zuko.What do you guys think?

How do you like the air nomads wingsuits from Legend of Korra?

I suppose that the added wings are benefit for some. I don't really when the airbenders adopt them between the book 3 and 4 but I guess the new airbenders adapt to them from the glider staff without hesitation. I guess Tenzins children didn't mind losing the staff as well because they probably used them mainly for fun or as mode of transport. On the other hand Tenzin and Aang before him used the staff for fighting as it seems like the best tool for the airbending style or philosophy of fighting, which is more on the defensive side. The fit is another thing that I'm not really fond of. The skintight suit is super straightforward so it gives out every move to the opponent. The older robes with their loose fit looks like they leave at least some movement hidden and therefore creating an elusive sensation. I also like the orange colour better.

"Hello, Zuko here" – did Zuko, like, ever actually have friends?

No, it's a serious question. Just bear with me. I was thinking about the first few episodes of S3 & how we only ever see Zuko hang out with Azula & her friends (he was in desperate need of some guy friends, which was nice to see once he joined the Gaang). Then I remembered we also only see him playing with Azula, Ty Lee & Mai in his flashbacks in Zuko Alone, besides of course, his mother. Sure that's an isolated memory & it may just have been Ty Lee & Mai over that day, but I seriously wonder if Zuko ever had any friends of his own. I mean, it's never mentioned. Never even hinted at. During his exile, there's no real suggestion there's anyone at home, besides his family, that Zuko misses or wants to see. As per the quote in the title, when he rehearses introducing himself to the Gaang, we see tiny hints at social ineptitude. I always pinned that down to the years in exile he'd spent away from many kids his age, or the solemnity/no-nonsense attitude being banished + burned by his father had instilled in him (as well as a bout of comedic relief from one of our more serious characters). But perhaps that's more telling of years of growing up without any real friends his age. Most likely, it's a combination of all of those things, plus being raised as royalty seems to do a number on your social skills ("that's a sharp outfit, Chan"). For those who have read the comics, feel free to mention anything that might have come up there which could offer an answer. & just to rule it out, we know that the shame of banishment may have made Zuko lose a lot of friends. But equally, he was back in the Fire Nation for a while in S3, "honour restored", but alas – still no buddies of his own. No one to drag along to Ember Island with. He seems so at ease with the girls' antics, you wonder if he knows any different. But what do we think? Was Azula's circle the only real friends he had or kept? Was this why he was so close to his mother (a bit of a social recluse perhaps)? Would Lu Ten have been the closest thing he had to a friend or brother? Is this why Aang's words (in The Blue Spirit & Avatar Aang) resonate so deeply with him, as he's never had/made a real friend of his own, let alone expected to find one in his supposed worst enemy? Why do we think he may have not made so many friends?
