What is this thing I found on my way to work?

While walking to work I saw this thing, I thought it was a toy or something at first but then it moved. It seemed to be at least 10cm long. I live in Japan specifically the Kanto region.

Harmful to butterflies?

We have a few milkweed plants in our yard. A week or two ago, I noticed a lot of little orange eggs all over the leaves. Now, these bugs are everywhere on the plants. My main concern is whether or not they are native? (We're in north Georgia, United States.) My wife said she was told these guys will eat butterflies, and she wants to start eradicating them. However, I'm not interested in interfering with natural cycles if these guys are native. Any help and advice appreciated!

Agency life

Hello everyone Me and my girlfriend live in an agency accommodation. Things are not great, but it does the job for the moment. We pay 960€ per month for a 10-15 square meters room, share a kitchen, toilet and bathroom with a bunch of other strangers. As we walked into our room today we ran into this “newsletter”. What I read was absolutely disgusting. And I wondered is this legal? Can I report this to an authority or an organisation, which goes after this king of abuse? This must be a violation of some human rights. They demand us to respect their privacy whilst not respecting ours, stating that locking yourselfout of your room at night is not considered an emergency?! This facility accommodates roughly 400 people, and most of us have to share their private apace with a complete stranger, even the place they sleep. If anyone knows something, please advise
