I don’t know where else to post this, but wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Not too long ago I was watching a bunch of titanic stuff with my son who is obsessed. Nothing we had watched mentioned anything about the SS Californian so I ended up googling it to give him the info. I couldn’t find ANYTHING about it. I ended up finding conversations of people swearing they remember this other ship being close and not helping, but apparently it never happened. I spent hours reading conversations and trying to search for it and only finding mention of it in subs of people swearing it was fact. I was thinking maybe it was a Mandela affect. The conversations about the topic were typical of Mandela affects with people explaining why you thought you learned this blah blah blah but in reality it’s this. I left it thinking, Okay. Fine. Sure. I must have remembered wrong. Whatever. Today I was talking to my husband and for whatever reason he brought it up and I told him I thought so too, but then explained I went down at least an hour long search and rabbit hole trying to find it and that apparently it just didn’t happen. Of course he looked at me like I was nuts and googled it to which it popped up instantly. I searched again myself and sure enough yup super easy to find. You don’t even have to dig for it. Pops up right away on top. I decided to search things like SS Californian hoax or any other key words to try to find maybe something I could have read that would have confused me into thinking this. Which really makes no sense because I only ended up in subs when I couldn’t find any information on there being any ships closer to the Titanic than the Carpathia in the first place! Nothing. The only conversations that come up are about whether they were at fault! Now I’m wondering if I had some crazy elaborate dream?! It’s either that or I jumped in and out of another reality and didn’t realize it. It’s making me feel nuts. Has anything similar happened to anyone else?
