Day 2 of Bob missing his diary and I STILL can't find it. HELP.

I have scoured my island multiple times with every camera angle. I have checked behind every cliff and building and tree and piece of furniture. I've even shaken even hardwood and cedar tree on the off chance it was up a tree. And still--nothing. He sent me on this quest yesterday, and when I couldn't find it I had hoped he would have forgotten about it by the next day, but he's still looking for it and I can't get any more dialogue out of him. Am I missing something? Could it be buried in the sand or in the water or in the museum or something? Will he forget about it eventually?

TIL you can swim in Happy Home Paradise AND you can even talk to villagers while in the water!

Guys how do I get Beau on my Island? Ive reset it so many times bcs I’ve heard u can get him as a starter villager but i’m starting to go mad bcs i can’t get him. But i’ve checked online and the Amibo cards r so expensive. The reason I want beau so bad is that when I was younger I played new leaf like a lot and Beau was my fave and i even named my dog after him (the dog in the photo) Pls I need this deer. What do I do???
