Is this too black?

A fun twist on the typical question. The bride is wearing a black dress for a spooky themed wedding on Friday the 13th in Oct. I'm struggling to find affordable maternity dresses that are flattering and stumbled upon this one.

Need help with an appropriate cover up/layering options.

I’m going to a boho/casual wedding in early October in the PNW, the venue is indoor/outdoor and we’ve been advised to be sure to wear layers. Dress code rules are no black or white and the wedding party will be in dark blue and dusty rose. I’m so in love with this dress but am having a hard time figuring out what would be appropriate for layering that is not black. I’m also having a hard time deciding on shoes to go with this too. I would love an excuse to buy this but am thinking I may need to go with another dress to fit the dress code Suggestions appreciated!!

Am I wrong? Lol

Was worn to my wedding by a groomsman's wife. She is very nice and I don't think we had any issues between us, I just don't understand how she thought this was appropriate. Am I wrong?

Is this too extra for a black tie museum wedding?

*I plan on having the chest closed in to be a bit more modest. Attending an October museum wedding, black tie. Late 20s/early 30s crowd. Is this too extra?

September semi-formal wedding. Appropriate?

Haven’t been to a wedding in ages, is this ok for cocktail attire at a farm venue?

Also, as someone who is not very fashion inclined, I would super appreciate any shoe suggestions 😅 they advised not wearing heels as there’s a lot of grass to walk through. And don’t worry, the white dresses were not for attending a wedding lol

Is this an appropriate dress?

Unfortunately no guidance on the dress code but it is a 3 o’clock wedding on September 1- maybe with a shawl?

Will this work for "summer formal" (with black or nude heels)?

Is this appropriate for a “business casual” wedding? I have this short yellow dress, dress code is business casual but no jeans and no shorts. I was going to wear it with some heeled sandals.
