Does anyone know this bug?

It produces a very strong smell when scared. I'm curious to know if they exist in other parts of the world.

Weird Nest On My Gutter

It felt very squishy to the touch

I’m in SE Michigan, USA and I’ve never seen a bug that looks like this. It was about 1.5 inches.

Guys I found a cat and kitten and not sure what to do

The kitten has gunk around it’s eyes and it’s kinda lethargic, the mom straight up let us take her kitten but she isn’t following us. We want to clean its eyes and adopt it but obviously the kitten is a bit scared but it isn’t running or scratching us. The mom is also not coming with us and barely staying out of range for us to take her with us so we’re not sure what to do. We wanna take the kitten to the vet but we’re scared the mom will leave, what should we do? The kitten is currently in our home and we’re about to wash its eyes
