What if Vought had updated the Crusader to become a 4th gen fighter?
This has been on my mind for awhile. Now, I'm no aircraft designer so maybe you guys could give some insight on the feasibility of this idea but what if Vought took the same approach as Northrop did with the F5 by updating the F 8 Crusader for the 70s and 80s? The A 7 was a good air to ground aircraft and the YA 7F Strikefighter was supposed to be as high tech as the early F 16s. So what if Vought took the air to ground capability and landing gear from the Corsair 2, paired it with the avionics from the YA 7F and put it inside a new turbofan powered F 8 Crusader?

Every now and then while spotting, the stars align for great shots. I've tried times before to get this, but it's never worked out in one way or the other. However, finally scratched off my list, military and civilian King Airs in one shot arriving together!
