Different colored claws?

I'm a first time cat owner and rescued an adult cat a couple of weeks ago. His claws needs to be trimmed and I learned that they are translucent and you can clearly see where blood vessels are. I noticed that some of his claws are looking black though while others are clearly translucent. I assume that's normal and when I got him a vet took a look at him but I just want to reassure myself by also asking this community. Thanks!
