Visited my fiancés family in florida for the first time in Clearwater this past December, stepping out in the back yard and encountered this. This is where mangroves are off the ocean. The distance from me to this bird is nearly a football field. Given that, I don’t know what kind of bird would even be that big. Based on the height of the tree line to the water the bird would have to have been 8 feet tall or more.
