not just for shoes
I wear a hat at work that gets the expected sweat stains but also nasty grease stains from the equipment I work around. running a cap through the laundry messes with their shape and causes the plastic grid in the forehead to poke through the cloth and scratch my head. I tried this gel shoe cleaner for the hell of it because it was there and it worked great.
next I tried it on a set-in pizza sauce stain on a t-shirt with great success. my girlfriend used it to get out a big food oil stain on her son's t-shirt.
I'm gonna keep trying it on different stains. has anyone else tried this?
Hard water stains on copper with dark patina
We have these beautiful old hammered copper sinks that have an even chocolate brown patina. We also have terribly hard water and it has left this ring around the drain in the bathroom. I generally clean the sinks with either liquid hand soap or Mrs Meyers all purpose spray and it works well except for the ring. I am afraid to use anything more mechanically or chemically abrasive and ruin the patina. Does anyone have any ideas, or is the answer just to scrub the entire sink until it’s shiny and let the patina re-accumulate over time?
Any advice on cleaning my makeup drawer, a product leaked in it
I think one of my oil makeup products separated, and the oil leaked out. Felt dry to the touch so it was probably quite old. I cleaned it with a wet rag and a bit of dish soap but it didn’t do much. Any ideas on what else to try? Thanks
