What is this ant? (FL)

Hey we had the hurricane here recently so I’m wondering if these are just big ants coming inside to escape the wet. For context we are renting and have had a bunch of trees falling and they are full of ants. I think they’re carpenter ants but not sure. They are about the length of a nickel. The maintenance just dragged the stumps by the house and never did anything w them so I’m worried they’re now in the house eating as I’ve seen four in my room today…. Please let me know and if you have any advice on exterminated lmk.

This little thing just scootin around my mouse pad?

The little pair of white tubes are the appendage it’s scootin with and the rest just resembles lint or like a shoelace or something? West Texas if that helps. It’s very small less than a cm I’d say
