I was left with two giant butcher block. What is a good use for these?
These two butcher block were acquired from a candy company that closed out. They both are 2' x 5' one of them measuring 3 inches thick the other one measuring 2 inches thick.
I was going to use these countertops in the kitchen I was redoing, but I think it would be more work than what I would like to do considering that these need to be planned, and I don't have access to a planner. I've tried sanding them with an orbital sander by hand and gums up a little bit due to the residue on them.
Having said that, I think I need to put a little more effort into finishing them off, but what uses do you think these would have? They are too heavy to move around often.
Oddly, I am making a Koi pond and thought about using these as the main shelves of a bonsai rack.
I was also going to make a Cobb oven outside and integrate these into the top somehow but this would be left out year long and don't think that that would be the best idea if I'm gonna use it for food.
Anyways, I'm looking for some creative uses.
