advice on bonding with my new buns! + how to deal with lion head fur

these are my recently adopted bunnies haystack and clover ! i adopted them after the sudden loss of my best bun fiver, and i am so happy to channel my love into these sweet girls. they were surrendered when their mum had unexpected litters, and have lived their first nine months of life at the humane society. they have settled in quite nicely, and seem to be very happy to have so much space to run around! they are still, however very weary and shy of humans. i brought them home a couple of weeks ago now and they still run away when i get too close. my bun fiver was a very bold bunny and warmed up to me almost immediately, so did my childhood bun. i’ve been hanging out on the floor, and giving them some food by hand, but they’re still so frightened. is it just going to take some time of consistency, or is there more i can be doing? i want them to feel comfortable in their home. petting them would be a good bonus too :3 also, this is my first time with lionhead mixes and im worried about the fur around their butts getting dirty and being uncomfortable for them. any advice about dealing with their fur would be great too ! thanks
