Jacuzzi hot tub leaking specialty valve

My jacuzzi started leaking out the BACK ( opposite side of my service panel) I have replaced minor parts over the years from valves to heater core assembly but never experienced leaks. I started removing panels and insulation and find a small rubber bladder one way valve leaking steady. It’s right at the top ( behind waterfall). Obviously it rubber wasn’t seated ( worn / cracked ?) and I blew twice hard into it ( heard bubbles inside tub) and it reseated and stopped the leak. I’m leaving it open to check again later and also dry and air it out . Until stores open tomorrow I do not know what this valve is , what purpose it served or why it started leaking. Any ideas ?

Hack for a quick repair on a PVC DWV fitting?

Looking for one of those old timer repairs (hacks) on fixing a leaking DWV fitting during a water pressure test. Hi guys, TN mountain man here again….I have some leaks at some joints during the DWV water test (filling the vent stack at roof) and don’t want to cut them out and fix them. (yes, yes I know, that’s how the pros do it). Does anyone have a hack for this? I have read a couple options… 1. heat joint with a heat gun and then flood it with glue and supposedly the glue gets sucked into the joint. 2. create a “suction” on the joint and then use primer and then glue to suck them both into the leak. 3. use the Leak-B-Gone product What you guys got?

Unknown Pipe

Not sure what this pipe is or what it leads to. It’s not secured to the wall, so I can easily pull it out some. There is a wood burning fireplace behind this wall but I am not sure if that is pied to the pipe in any capacity. Hoping someone knows what this pipe is and it’s purpose. Thank you!

Can I cap and abandon this old cast drain pipe?

We are adding a shower to the basement bathroom and thought the pipe going to the toilet and sink was updated with the rest of the pipes. It wasn't and runs parallel to the new abs which goes to the main stack and upstairs toilet. The cast must connect to the abs somewhere to the left, as I know it's ABS further down the line and where it exits the house. Can I cap and abandon the old cast next to the cleanout and continue the new abs to the right and connect the basement toilet, shower and sink to the ABS? TIA

Should I remove the plate behind the black mixer cup?

The top screw (encircled in blue) is stripped. Before I go in there with drill bits and screw extractors and ATTEMPT to remvoe the broken off screw, I was wondering if I could easily remove the black mixer cup and the plate behind it (encircled in red). Removing this plate would give me better access to the screw. And if in fact, the plate can be easily removed by unscrewing the two large screws, do I need to shut the water off prior to doing this? I am just a home owner DIY'ing, with limited plumbing knowledge, so any pointers would help. Thanks! Note: The screw was stripped by the previous home owner

I can’t tell if it’s water is coming in from the wall or a tank/softener.
