Hack for a quick repair on a PVC DWV fitting?
Looking for one of those old timer repairs (hacks) on fixing a leaking DWV fitting during a water pressure test.
Hi guys, TN mountain man here again….I have some leaks at some joints during the DWV water test (filling the vent stack at roof) and don’t want to cut them out and fix them. (yes, yes I know, that’s how the pros do it).
Does anyone have a hack for this? I have read a couple options…
1. heat joint with a heat gun and then flood it with glue and supposedly the glue gets sucked into the joint.
2. create a “suction†on the joint and then use primer and then glue to suck them both into the leak.
3. use the Leak-B-Gone product
What you guys got?
