Bad news at the range

My S&W. Normal ammo and this happened at the range. I hadn’t shot this thing in a while. I put five rounds through it, hen let my daughter have a turn. She was 16 and her first time shooting. The top split open and the barrel flew about ten feet. I was standing right behind her per range rules (due to her age). I saw it fly off but she didn’t. I stopped her just as she was about to let off another round. No idea what would have happened but I doubt it would have been pretty. It was given to me as a gift 25 years before. I called S&W, sent them photos and they sent me a replacement next day air. They had me send it back so their metallurgists could have a look at it.

Can I see some awesome 10/22 conversions?

I want to see some badass conversion kits/accessories yoy guys have on your 10/22's. I'm fishing for ideas on what to do with mine. Thanks in advance.
