My dyed ball experiment
So I saw a post about dyed balls and a question in the comments wondering if you could make a divide type ball with it. I've only tried it a couple times, and you can, but also not really. It would work well enough to see the spin in the air, but not really for a putting aid which is another nice thing about the divide. It's tough to do because the water may move, the balls may move when being removed from the water, and in doing so you can get a slight tinge of the dye in the part you're trying to keep clear. That could be something that could be fixed by doing less balls in the container. The other issue I found is the dye won't quite reach the bottom where the ball is resting, so if you'd be ocd about that, best to just completely submerge them.
I will say it's a nice way to identify your ball, but if you wanted to be really picky about it and have it look like a divide it'd be best to just buy divides.
