Unsolicited generosity

Stopped at an ATM to get cash, the machine did everything including give me a receipt for a withdrawal but failed to dispense any money. Long story short, another customer overheard what had happened and under a misunderstanding that it was all the money I had left, offered me 20 bucks for gas money to get home. I was momentarily shocked, but I explained I didn't need it, but it was a very generous thing to do, and that I would still pay it forward if he would save it for someone who actually needed it. I shook his hands and we parted ways.

Usual apologies for being on the phone. Image isn't of the car I saw but is my own picture of a similar style. I was waiting on foot with my boyfriend at a four-way traffic light and a really flashy McLaren was sitting opposite us; his light went green and he revved his engine BIG time, got every pedestrian in the area to look at him, and sped quickly around the corner to his left at top speed... To immediately have to stop dead as there was traffic ahead. Everyone around the traffic lights burst into laughter as if we had rehearsed it, leaving him very red in the face. Goes to show that just because you have a fast car doesn't mean showing it off will get you everywhere fast 😂
