A quick checkmate against the classical Caro Kann. It was weird because I learned to play this opening from the other side of the board.

Should I learn many different openings ?

I just hit 1200 (rapid )but I only do this every time no matter if I’m black or white. Is this fine or should I learn actual openings ? What else is most important for beginners to improve ?
