customer scam attempt?

so the other day i was dashing and i got my first ever “cash order”. it was from pizza hut, 3 medium pizzas with a bunch of toppings, so i was supposed to receive $75 cash for the order. doordash said i could keep the cash and 75 would come out of my weekly pay. when i got to the customers house, nobody answered the door, but someone answered the ring doorbell camera. they said that nobody there ordered pizza and nobody was even home. i told him the name that was used to place the order and he said it was his son who was sitting right next to him and he also confirmed that he didn’t order anything. i confirmed the name and address, everything was correct. in the end i had to sit outside his house for 15 minutes texting doordash support until finally i got everything taken care of and the order was cancelled. i’m just curious, was this a scam attempt at free pizza?

Specified that I can’t eat sugar and order is covered in teriyaki. Why my only option for compensation $3.13?

Why can I only get $3.13 refund when the subtotal was $21.98? I used $4.21 credits but that shouldn’t make a difference should it?

I called them up and they told me that a dasher has to come up and confirm the order because apparently the restaurant doesn't partner with Door dash directly. Does this happen often?

No contact delivery, just… drop it off

Context: My property has a weird layout so I just tell dashers to leave the order by the gate in front of my house, never had an issue until tonight. Ended up just telling them to leave it where they parked cause I wasn’t about to go out and meet them.
