Back around 2005 I heard Steve Harwell talking about the absolutely devastating loss of his son to leukemia in 2001, and his anguish was just so sickeningly heartbreaking. Fuck, I’m tearing up just typing about it. It seems Steve never recovered from the loss, and honestly, I can’t blame him. “Now that I’ve arrived here/I know I’m not alone/All my friends around me/Tell me welcome home/But could you tell me/where I might find/the one I’m looking for?/His wings have arrived” Wrap your wings around your sweet baby boy, Steve.
