Could this be covered up?

I don't have anything against this tattoo really, but I'm looking to start working as a primary school teacher, and while tattoos are okay, the subject matter in this is a little inappropriate. Could this be something I could complete cover or is it too oddly shaped?

Why does the United States control Hawaii when Mexico is in the way?? It makes more sense for Mexico to control Hawaii.
