Need help with steam overlay

Why on earth are my fps display not on my edge of my screen? This never happened before and since last week it's been like this. And also for some weird reason now when I launch other games the fps counter is in 1080p instead of 1440p... How do I know? Because they are bigger than normal and it's super annoying since all the overlay is in 1080p including brows r and stuff. Anyway I can fix this?

are there any plans to improve this continuously failing feature? I can't be the only one. This is happening at least once a week, makes switching play between steam deck and PC a painful experience.

A long time ago I installed some games on an external hard drive. My local C drive shows its capacity including the "other" here. Is there a way to uninstall/decouple the external games to my C drive? I don't believe there is 184 GB of games on my C drive. They aren't shown in my steam library.
