is this wedding appropriate?

the last time i was at a wedding was when i was 10! so i thought i would ask before i get the dress to make sure i don’t upset the bride (my cousin!). the wedding is in March (Southern Hemisphere, so it will be summer) and outdoors! my cousin specifically defined the dress code as “semi-formal: long summery dresses or cocktail dresses”. this dress is very light and airy (i tried it on in the store) so i don’t think i’d get too hot? let me know what you think!

Fall wedding in a barn venue, upstate NY. Semi formal dress code — does this work?

I have this dress, however it is currently being altered to have a slight sweetheart neckline and hit the knees (instead of mid- calf). I would wear it with black heels. It’s a very good family friends wedding, I’ve known most of them for over 15 years. Just getting worried because I… A) don’t really wear a lot of dresses/go to weddings kept seeing results for silk dresses when I searched for “semi formal fall wedding guest dresses” The other option I have is a vintage dress i thrifted (no pictures as it’s being cleaned) but it is dark velvet floral, knee length, bell sleeves and…high scoop neckline? It basically goes from shoulder to shoulder in a gradual swoop, and completely covers the chest. If neither sound like they fit the bill, I am very open to looking for something that will! Thank you!

Is this appropriate for a semi formal wedding?

I’m young & I’ve only been to one other wedding besides my parents & that was my sisters. While I was apart of the bridal party I didn’t have to worry about my dress. The wedding is the end of September & I’m not sure if it’s outside or not. We did not receive a whole bunch of details.

Appropriate for semi-formal outdoor/barn wedding & reception?

Hi all! I have a wedding this weekend for a friend of mine and I wanted some opinions on if this is a nice enough dress. I asked her some time ago and she said “it’s on the casual side of the dress code but she guesses it would be ok” and didn’t seem super enthused. I wore this dress to my college graduation & am planning on wearing black heels like in this picture (not stilettos, more like a block heel?). When I asked her about it, i didn’t show her a picture (it was a verbal conversation and I was driving) so maybe she misremembered it? I guess I’m wondering if I’m overthinking her response and it actually is fine, or if I need to go and buy a new dress. Thanks!

Festive Cocktail Attire in NOLA

I purchased this dress for a wedding in New Orleans next month. The dress code calls for Festive Cocktail. They are encouraging guests to be creative and have fun with their outfits. The bride and groom are in their late twenties and the groom is a pretty well known DJ. I thought this was festive and sexy in a sophisticated, grown up way. What do you think?

Looking For Dress Dupes

Posting on behalf of my work mom, she’s not great with technology. Her daughter is getting married and she’s currently on the hunt for her MoB dress. The dress pictured above is the only one she’s fallen in love with, but it is sold out! I believe this dress was already “approved” by her daughter, so no worries there. Just hoping to make her feel a bit less bummed out by showing her some alternatives
