1970s My Great Grandpa Working for CSX Trains in North Georgia

Best man I ever knew. Grumpy (in the adorable bernie sanders way), loving, selfless, and humble. This man loved his family and served his country during WW2. In fact, my whole life I thought he was just a cook during the war until his funeral in 2005 - when the military showed up and presented my great grandmother with several awards/medals in his honor (some battle related). He never told anyone.
