Inspired by Beorns lodgings
As its the 50th anniversary of Tolkiens death I've just finished reading the Hobbit ( finding the time was difficult and I've took it with me to 4 countries on my travels!) And was inspired to have a go at the sumptuous sounding honey cake mentioned when Bilbo and company meet Beorn. It's so so simple and utterly gorgeous to taste. Im surprised it isn't more common and seen as quite archaic.
Next project is to create some Lembas bread, albeit the elves sneakily have millennia ahead of me with their recipes! What other tolkien inspired good would you like to see or taste?
