Ever have a table make your day?
Little context, I'm usually a bar guy. I work at a resort so you get shuffled around when help is needed. I got stuck doing breakfast which I'm awful at and I like sleeping in. I had probably been awake for 20 minutes when I got into work and my coworkers said "you have a table, mom and daughter" obviously I'm grumpy about it. Put on my server face and go to see them.
They were absolutely lovely and immediately changed my mood and attitude towards the day. So I decided to match their energy. Rang her daughters pancakes as "kids under 5 eat free" and her breakfast as normal, I also forgot to add the coffee cause mornings. I bring the bill, and I said "her food isn't on there cause I rang it in as free, I forgot the coffee too and I can't be fucked to change it to be honest"
She says "you made our mornings so I'm adding a little extra to the tip if that's okay. I don't want a receipt and it's not a mistake. Have an awesome day man!"
I was however disappointed her daughter didn't let me keep her drawing it was pretty wicked haha
