Ex’s Favored Emojis Appear in Recently Used Emojis Despite a Nearly Two-Year Separation

So, I have found one spyware app in my iCloud and deleted it — it was a weird app composed entirely of kanji letters — but weird shit continues to persist on my phone. Most recently, the favored emojis of my ex, unicorn ones which I have never used nor seen in my “favored emojis” list until the past month. What I’m wondering is if there is any reason that these emojis began appearing other than someone tampering with my electronics. Thanks in advance for any insight.
