Would a donut of shame keep my dog from scratching his mouth?

I figured out a few days ago that my dog has a sore on his mouth, specifically on his lower jaw. It looks like he chewed on something until a portion of his lip became raw. It's not currently infected or vet visit worthy, but it's got to itch since he's using a hind leg to scratch it. I'm looking into getting him a cone of shame to prevent him from scratching it and I'm wondering if one of those soft donuts would work just as well, or if he could still get a hind leg up to his mouth.

Anyone know what this could be?

I just saw this today. It’s kind of below his neck area. I did get him a new leather collar but he’s only had it for less than 2 days. Could it cause this in that short amount of time? I haven’t noticed him scratching it.

Dog always has loose stools

My dog, who is 2 and a half, has always had loose stools since we brought him home. He’s been to the vet multiple times, they just basically say he’s healthy, so there’s not much they can do. I’ve tried switching foods, adding the purina forti flora probiotics, I’ve even given him clay that’s supposed to help regulate him, pumpkin as well. Nothing works! He will have slightly solid poops every now and again but that’s about it. Just wondering if there’s anyone out there who has experienced this as well, and if there was something they did that helped. Anyone have any advice on what I could do? He is a kelpie/aussie
