How to get gum off of couch??

Gah. This is from from a blow pop (thank you Labor Day parade) so it's a smaller amount of low quality gum. The ice cube has let me get off quite a bit of it. But there's still this ingrained, smeared into the fibers, gum residue and I was wondering if you all could help me brainstorm how to get it out.

Any advice is welcome. I tried a couple ideas I found online but they didn't to work. The elbow grease I applied didn't seem to change anything either

Has anyone had a braided wool rug before? If so how’d you clean it?

I feel like it’s tough cleaning this thing because all the odor just gets trapped inside the fibers.

Original Dawn vs Dawn Ultra Platinum Advanced

Just moved into a new home and making cleaning solution for our quartz countertops and hardwood floors.I’ve read that Dawn dish soap is good to use as an ingredient. Is the ultra platinum advanced okay or should I buy the Dawn original soap to use? Looked up the regular Dawn soap’s ingredients online and it seems that they’re the same (unless I’m missing something). Is the platinum advanced one just more concentrated? Thanks!

Am i doing something wrong with Bar Keeper’s Friend?

I just tried using it to clean my Gourmia air fryer oven as well as my bathtub. For my air fryer, I made a paste in a small bowl and scrubbed the interior as well as I could with a toothbrush then let it sit for 4 hours. For my bathtub, I sprinkled some and used the shower head to dampen it, then used a blue scrub sponge. It cleaned my tub okay, but it feels like no matter how much i run water through it or scrub with a clean rag, the floor and surfaces just feels powdery/grainy?? I’m sure it will go away after using the shower a few times, but I feel like I had an easier time just using baking soda + lemon juice and vinegar… As for my air fryer. Oh boy. I cannot get the cleaner completely out no matter what I do. I’ve tried steaming vinegar + water in it and wiping it down with a rag at least 4 times now and scrubbing the crevices with a toothbrush, but it still persists. My air fryer oven has hard stuck on grease and is tainted black spots throughout— I feel like I’ve tried everything under the sun (except Easy-Off because I was told it’s dangerous to use that in an air fryer) but no matter what I’ve used nothing has made a noticeable difference. I’m so annoyed I’m ready to just toss the thing and buy a new one. I’m not sure if I cleaned it improperly in the past which might have scratched it up and left permanent marks (I’ve used baking soda paste, dawn soap, vinegar, denture cleaning tablets, urnex, steel wool, and more). They make it look so easy when I watch how to guides where all they use is baking soda paste and dawn then wipe it with a damp rag…

Can I use Barkeeper’s Friend on a curling iron?

I have some gunk on my curling iron (I threw it into a bag in a rush and some makeup or something got melted into it.) It gets on my hair when I use it… gross. And it’s generally pretty old and dirty, but i’d hate to throw out an otherwise perfectly good item. I have Barkeeper’s Friend… would that work? Or something else? Thanks for the help! (Sorry if I tagged the flair wrong)

Please help! Oil burn on stainless steel pan.

Please go easy on me.. I’ve been having a very very rough week and am a little embarrassed. I was trying to heat up some olive oil.. I promise this was on low/medium heat and I only walked away for maybe 4-5 min. I have tried boiling water and vinegar, then adding baking soda, then scrubbing with no luck. Any suggestions on how to clean this?
