First tattoo, any ideas?

I want to keep the firefly symbol, but the artist really screwed me up here. Any ideas how to go about fixing it?

So I drew out a tattoo like 7 years ago, and my ex said he could do tattoos, showed me dope art. Okah yeah but he wanted to change some of my drawing. Okay.. I guess. But he drew it very very crooked... I've been bothered by it for so long, and I wanted a flower crown on the elephant and he said that'd be stupid. So yeah, I'm left with this. Is there anything I can do or should I just cover it completely.. The right side I drew he did the ugly crooked side..

Keep or Cover Up?

Any ideas on how to cover this up? I got this when I was a ripe 18 years old. I’m torn because I do like the tattoo, it definitely represents who I was at the time. But now I’m married and have a toddler. I’m just not quite sure if I got it covered up, what I would do. Any advice is appreciated.

Ideas for a coverup on part of a tattoo?

Highlighted in red. I want to keep the seal, just want the thick black design above it covered. Any ideas? Would a sick ass panther work?

What should I do? It was done professionally, believe it or not and I’m quite embarrassed. My other tattoos by the same artists are beautiful. Ideally I’d actually like to cover this up with a big snake going up my forearm but I’ve had an artist advise me to laser first. I’d rather not if I could avoid it Or do I just get it coloured black and defined more? Position sucks too the artist said
