Found out the hard way the cost of first energy electricity doubled in June
Today I suddenly got an unexpected deduction from my bank account to the tune of $338.69 from the electric company. I typically pay $120 on budget.
Checked my bill and I had not used a lot more than usual at all, in fact I used less than the previous month. According to the first energy representative I talked to, the cost of electricity DOUBLED in June, from approximately 5.5 cents per kWh, to 11 cents per kWh.
I was just thinking that it would have been nice to have gotten a warning about this so I could have shopped around and I would be able to make my car payment this month. Now I can’t because of this little surprise.
This is just a heads up to anybody who’s budget plan is coming to an end soon, you’ve been getting charged twice the cost for the last 4 months and you will probably owe.
