I didn’t intend to buy another new gun…
Sincerely no intention to buy a gun this week. Was on my way to a meeting a couple of hours away, saw a gun store I’d never visited, decided to stop in. There was an older woman and a very old gentleman inside. Musty older gun store, mostly milsurps and old hunting rifles. Mannequins with old military uniforms. Dusty wall of leather holsters. You’ve all seen the same store. 5 or 6 new Kimbers in a case, mostly custom 2’s. The desert warrior caught my eye as I’m a sucker for FDE. The tag was missing a price, so I inquired. Lady couldn’t figure it out. Said it had been in the store for “years†and no one had even looked at it to her knowledge. Old man said “I think it’s a few bucks for than the others†(meaning the custom 2’s, which were around $1k). So they just made up a price… and I couldn’t say no.
When did a Korean drum become better than a Magpul drum?
(context) I ordered the PMAG D-50 PCC, got it today. Tried loading it, only took 45 of the 50 rounds so I unload it thinking hmm maybe something isn't right. The orange follower gets stuck half way through, so I shake the remaining rounds out. I push the lever to try to get the follower unstuck and when I let go of the lever, the follower goes flying out of the mag and damn near takes my eye out... what the shit is this??
Ar10 cycling issues?
I recently bought this m&p 10 and before I shot it I decided to upgrade the handguard and obviously the gas block as well. The gas block is a low profile titanium unit from vseven and the handguard is an apex technologies. The issues are as follows. The first 3-5 rounds the gun will cycle and pick up a round no problem, but once a few rounds are spent it just will not pick up another round. The bolt is overcoming the magazine and skipping right over the next round. Overgassed? Underweight? I’m stumped.
