does puzzle rating actually tell how good you are at chess?

Why does Stockfish want to capture with the knight when capturing with the queen pins the opponent's bishop and thus protects my other knight?

Isn't that the better move?

Spent too long on this because it seemed like there were lots of good options. Still got it wrong though!

I like to open with e4 as white and I usually end up looking something like the above, should I be moving like a3 or c3 and wait for a slip up or should I be trying to get the queen active in this phase of the game? Around 1000 rated or so currently

I was reviewing a game I did and the game suggested this. As a newbie I never would have seen all to checked spaces to make this check mate, so figured this was worth while.
