Flying past Popocatépetl
It’s not every day, that you fly past an active volcano. Popocatépetl, often called „El Popo," is Mexico's second-highest peak. Its name comes from the Nahuatl language, meaning "Smoking Mountain," and it has been erupting periodically for centuries. El Popo's last significant eruption was in 2000, but it remains active, constantly emitting steam and gases.
