Why is there this weird gap on this?

Its step 352 of the X-Wing Starfighter (75355) On the instructions there is no gap, am I doing something wrong?

Weekend trip to Chicago. Wife and daughter went to American girl doll store, my son and I went to the Lego store 😁. Can’t wait to get home and build.

A year to the day!

I bought this set for my mom last year on her birthday. She is a jazz musician. I ended up having to build it a little at a time, but it was a great way to pass the time during visits. Today, on her birthday, I finally finished the set (I’m slow). What a dynamic fun set to build!

What is this packet?

I’m fairly new-ish to Lego, I just bought my first few sets after like 20 years of not playing with Lego, and one of these sets was Ahsoka’s T-6 Shuttle, and in one of the bags was this little perforated packet, with a bunch of little things, that aren’t listed in the instructions. I think they are for Sabine, I realized later that one of the bits goes into her helmet, but there are 4 of them for some reason, along with 4 visor things that aren’t in the instructions at all. I’m guessing the visors can also be used on her helmet, but I’m still confused about the packet. Why did they include 4 of each, when I only needed one of the little periscope things? And why were they packaged separately in a completely different kind of bag? Did I get a mistake, or was this on purpose?
