Having a hard time zeroing red dot

Hello all. I have tried to zero this red dot at 50 yards for the past few days but can’t seem to do it. I’m not the greatest shot but I can hit paper at 50 yards with seemingly every other gun I own. I’m starting to think the gun may be defective Thoughts?

Trying Out Occluding of Red Dot

It feels weird currently having one eye on the target and the other on the dot coming from shooting irons where you focus solely on the irons on the target.
