Banijay Entertainment sets sights on U.S. scripted growth

Banijay Entertainment, the newly merged giant formed by Banijay and All3Media, is looking to expand into U.S. scripted production. Chief business officer Frederic Balmary shared the company's ambitions at Rome's MIA Market, noting that Netflix is simultaneously ramping up its American hit slate amid a content leadership shake-up. Balmary described the battle for intellectual property as one of the company's major fights.
