A hotel in British Columbia has a castle, a ship and an underground house

Deep in the rural village of Yarrow, British Columbia, there's a three-suite hotel that feels like a fantasy novel brought to life. The Hazelnut Inn took nine years to build by the Imagination Corporation, a company that normally designs theme parks. Its founders, Peter and Hailey Sawatzky, were inspired by a honeymoon stay in a restored Roman villa and wondered why they couldn't create something similar in Canada. The Copper Crown Suite is a miniature castle with a steel dragon at the gate, a moat, armoured statues in the great hall, and a secret door leading to a tiny library. Another suite wraps around the stern of a tall ship built into a tower, and there's even an underground house beneath an artificial hillside. For anyone who loves whimsical architecture or immersive stays, this place sounds like a dream.

Would you rather stay in a castle room or a ship room for a night?
