SNL brings back Drunk Uncle for Brewers World Series tribute

Bobby Moynihan reprised his Drunk Uncle character on Weekend Update to celebrate the Milwaukee Brewers winning the World Series. Moynihan played the role during his nine-season run on SNL from 2009 to 2017, and the segment leaned into the character's signature blunt, East Coast commentary. Why it matters: This kind of character callback lets the show connect a fictional milestone to a real team's achievement, giving longtime fans a nostalgic moment while poking fun at sports fandom.
