NASA seeks commercial help to extend Hubble's life

If you follow space news, you know Hubble's days are numbered, but not because it's broken. Gravity is slowly pulling the telescope closer to Earth, and without a boost, its orbit will decay and it will burn up in the atmosphere sometime in the early to mid 2030s. There's no immediate danger, but NASA is now taking proposals from the commercial space industry to help raise Hubble's orbit and keep it operational longer. That means private companies could soon play a direct role in preserving one of astronomy's most productive instruments.
Would you trust a private company to service a historic space telescope like Hubble?
