Kim Gordon on noise as expression

Kim Gordon, the Sonic Youth icon, is launching her own guitar and reflected in a new NME interview. She noted that when the band started, the term 'noise' was used as a derogatory label, but for her it was 'a shading or a colouring' and a realistic form of expression. Gordon also shared that she never thought of herself as a musician.
