started Zenless Zone Zero thinking it was gonna be another empty gacha time sink, and the first hour almost made me delete it. the combat just felt like mashing buttons until the dodge windows lined up. then i hit a Hollow where an elite enemy one-shot my whole team because i misread the wind-up on its grab, and suddenly i had to figure out actual positioning and team synergy just to survive the next room.
that loss stung but it was clean. no invisible walls, no rubber-banding, just me not paying attention.
still hate how some of the dodge timings feel inconsistent across different frame rates, and the camera loves to clip into walls during the big fights. but if every death is gonna teach me something instead of just wasting time, i’ll stick around a bit longer.
