Vasco isn’t essential?!

What about it?

We know they alluded to killing the Adoring Fan in the Direct effectively confirming that not all companions will benefit from the immortality awarded to those deemed essential. They also showed Vasco die from combat. I figured Vasco would be essential… maybe he is but he requires constant repair. Maybe he’s not. Maybe there are no essential companions though that’s hard to believe seeing as the leader of Constellation Sarah Morgan is confirmed as a companion. I need to know which companions are essential so that I know who’s got plot armor so that they can go with me on crazy suicide missions.
