This is Pope & he had a rough start to his little life. When we found him, he was deep in the woods, scared and hurt; dragging his back legs around behind him. A meth'd out woman told us he was pinned beneath a garage door for "hours or days" and had "slithered off to die". I didn't even know him, but I would have searched for him forever. Found him in less than 3 days. We got him in to see a vet & we took him home with 2 rx meds and more love than my actual heart could bear. I moved his little legs with every free moment I had for weeks so his little muscles wouldn't atrophy. He hated it but somehow he still managed to learn to love me. In two weeks he was wonky walking and in a month, he was raising hell with zoomies and making up for lost time. My boy is a healthy, happy 3 year old cross-eyed birthday boy miracle.

Last October while making my way to rescue a few ferals, I found a 3-4mo kitten that had been hit by a car. I decided to take them with me and give them a little love in death rather than let them rot there. I'm making a stepping stone as a grave marker for that poor forgotten soul I named "Nevaeh." Free in life, loved in death❤️

What is your advice on adopting a second cat, so that my current cat and that one will get along (more context below)?

Cat picture tax So, this is my 2 year old female cat, Winter. I got her about a year ago and she’s an awesome cat, but seems to get bored very easily even with toys. She’s only lived with one other cat who didn’t like her much because that cat wasn’t friendly with other animals, but Winter seemed to want to play with that cat and has gotten along with other cats she’s met. Because of this, I’m looking to adopt another cat but I need some advice. I would really like Winter to have a playmate so I was wondering whether I’d have a better chance of them getting along/bonding if I got a kitten (I know my cat DOES like kittens, she’s had her own litter, she’s fixed now) or if it would be okay to get an adult cat that’s around her age (1-5)? And would it be better to get a male or female? I know my post is long so apologies for that, but any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks!
