I was never a cat person, until I got I a cat

I grew up being a dog person, cats were never on my radar. That was until I got Baloo and he became my best friend. He saved me from a very dark place and I love him

Why did my cat try to nip me?

What about it?

He is an old man, very tame. Has only bitten me once in his life (when he was 5 years old) he trusts me enough to touch his stomach and boop his nose but for some reason when I was petting him, he tilted up his head and when the middle of my palm touched his chin he tried to nip me... why? I wasn't coming on as aggressive or anything, as soon as I felt his canine teeth brush against my skin I removed my hand. Why did he do this?
